Services
In addition to physiotherapy for common complaints, you can come to me for care that revolves entirely around you. Your situation, your goals, and what matters most to you are always at the center of my approach. Together, we will work on reducing your symptoms, improving your physical capacity, and rebuilding your confidence in movement.
Even when dealing with more complex health issues, aging, or fall risks, we look at what you can still do and how you can remain as independent as possible. Often, more is possible than you might initially think. If you mainly need clarity or guidance, just one or a few appointments may be more than enough.
During the intake, we will decide together what best suits your situation. Read more about my services below. Do you have any questions? Please feel free to get in touch!
General physiotherapy
General physiotherapy focuses on complaints related to muscles, joints, ligaments, and tendons. These can be issues that arise suddenly, but also complaints that have been present for a longer period or keep recurring. Examples include back and neck complaints, shoulder problems, knee pain, strain or overuse, or difficulty moving after an injury. The treatment is aimed at recovery and improving your daily functioning. Through targeted exercises, we work on strength, flexibility, and stability. In addition, you will receive practical tips on posture and movement, so you can move more freely and confidently again.
Rehabilitation
Following surgery, a medical procedure, or a neurological condition, recovery can take time and require intensive guidance. The treatment is focused on step-by-step rebuilding of strength, coordination, and physical capacity. This can be beneficial after a knee or hip replacement, shoulder surgery, bone fracture, or stroke, for example. This often involves an intensive program, where you receive guidance multiple times a week—or sometimes even daily—depending on what is required. Together, we will work toward resuming your daily activities, work, or sports, at a pace that aligns with your recovery and capabilities.
Geriatric / neurological physiotherapy
Geriatric physiotherapy focuses on complex conditions and complaints that occur more frequently with aging, such as stroke, Parkinson's disease, dementia, heart failure, or MS. This requires specific expertise, which I use to provide you with the best possible guidance. Independence is key here. Even if these health challenges affect your daily life, there is often still a lot that can be achieved. We focus primarily on what you can still do and how we can maintain or improve that as much as possible. The treatment focuses on movement, balance, muscle strength, and endurance, so that you can continue to function as independently and safely as possible in your daily life.
Fall Risk Assessment & Fall prevention
A fall can have serious consequences, including injury, loss of independence, and reduced confidence in daily activities. The good news is that fall prevention is highly effective, and many falls can be prevented by addressing the right risk factors. This service identifies factors that may increase your risk of falling, including balance, muscle strength, walking pattern, mobility, vision, medication, dizziness, and fear of falling. Based on a comprehensive assessment, you will receive personalised advice and, if needed, a tailored exercise programme to improve your stability, confidence, and overall mobility, helping you stay active, safe, and independent.
Consultation & Advice
Sometimes, it is simply reassuring to get clarity on the best approach to manage your symptoms or physical activity. You will receive targeted and practical advice tailored to your specific situation, helping you better understand what your body can handle and how to manage it. This can be highly beneficial as a standalone appointment, or serve as a first step toward further guidance if needed.
Medical Massage
Medical massage is a targeted treatment that aims to reduce pain, relieve muscle tension, and improve mobility. Unlike a relaxation massage, it focuses on specific complaints such as neck and back pain, muscle tightness, sports injuries, tension headaches, and overuse injuries. Using techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy, medical massage helps restore normal muscle function, improve circulation, and support the body's natural recovery process. When appropriate, it can be combined with therapeutic exercises and practical advice to promote long-term results.
Online Exercise Subscription
With the digital exercise subscription, you work independently on your recovery, fitness, or mobility with remote guidance. After an initial appointment, you will receive a personalized exercise program in an app. Through the app, you can ask questions, and your progress is evaluated monthly and adjusted if necessary. Extra interim appointments are available at the standard consultation rate.
Rates & Insurance coverage
Treatments take place at a location of your choice, as I do not have a fixed practice space. The lowest rate applies to locations near my home base in Cómpeta; for treatments in other areas, the rate will be adjusted based on the distance. Please feel free to get in touch for an exact quote for your address. The treatments I offer are not covered by the Seguridad Social and are therefore not reimbursed through the public healthcare system. Following your treatment, you will receive a digital invoice that you can submit to your health insurance provider. Reimbursement may be possible through private health insurance in Spain or through an international/foreign insurance provider. The coverage amount depends entirely on your specific policy; it is therefore important to check this with your insurer in advance.
